March with Us in DC—and Other Ways to Fight Back!

Allies —

With its recent attacks, the Trump presidency is priming millions of Americans to enter climate emergency mode. The movement for a safe climate is only growing stronger.

Yesterday, Trump followed through on his promise to roll back the gains made on climate under President Obama. The likely outcomes of this policy are so devastating that the media and the broader public seem finally to be taking notice that the future of human life, millions of species, and the natural world as we know it is at stake.

In The Guardian today, Kate Aronoff calls on the climate movement to adopt its own radical policy demand, similar to the universal healthcare movement’s embrace of Medicare-for-All. We agree.

It's past time that the climate and progressive movements unite behind the approach with the strongest chance of guaranteeing a healthy environment for all people: a WWII-scale mobilization to eliminate greenhouse gas emissions within the next decade and to begin restoring a safe climate.

It's up to all of us to make the necessary possible. The world can’t wait. Join the movement that’s all in for all life!
